Independence Day: Battle Heroes

Independence Day: Battle Heroes is the official game for Independence Day: Resurgence, the sequel to Roland Emmerich's legendary movie. Your aim in this game is to lead a squadron of ships through different missions where you face off against alien spacecraft.

Despite being a spacecraft game, Independence Day: Battle Heroes uses the turn-based combat system so typical of RPGs. Before attacking you choose the enemy and type of attack your spacecraft will carry out. And when it's the aliens' turn you see how they use their weapons on your soldiers.

In between missions you can go to your operations base and hangar. There you can recruit new pilots and make upgrades to your spacecrafts, increasing each spacecraft's number of life points, making their weapons inflict more damage, and even integrating new abilities. Some spacecraft have 'healing powers,' for example.

Independence Day: Battle Heroes is a rather odd RPG. There aren't many titles in this genre where you play a spacecraft ... and even fewer that belong to a Hollywood franchise. In any case, this game is polished and has great graphics.
